Welcome to our website.
ABOUT THIS SITE We created this site initilly as an information site about our apartment, affectionately known as D4, The Watch Tower However, we have extended it over the years to include what can be found in SIDE, Turkey and the surrounding area. Please feel free to pass on this link to your friends and clients. Our only interest is helping others, as we all know what it is like to arrive in an area and know nothing about where to go, what to do, etc.
All price information/quoted is for 2011.

Site Update
Tour prices have increased substantially on some trips. We have found a local company that seems cheaper than most, has English speaking guides and have a good reputation amongst the English holiday makers. They are N-Keskin Tours. Their prices have been attached to the Excursion list and indicated that this is the price for them where applicable.
Additional Airport transfer added.
New Car hire company in Side added.

It is proposed that a new promenade will be built on East Beach between the Old Town and the Sorgon Forest.
Cafe on SIDE HILL 4
The Cafe on Side Hill 4 is open all the year round. We used it several times while out there and can report that it has been a success as it serves good quality food at a very reasonable cost (quite cheap infact), the couple who run it are cheerful and pleasant and speak and understand good English, and it is easily accessible for Side Hill 1.
GENPA SUPERMARKET
Supermarket (GENPA). It is located 100 yards from the Fruit and Veg Shop on the roundabout towards Manavgat (about a 10 minute walk from Side Hill's 1&4 sites). It has as good a range as Migros, though cheaper. You can get almost everything you want there.
FRESH MILK
Look for the red topped plastic bottle marked SUTASKI SUT - DOGAL LEZZET. Be careful not to buy AYRAN as this is a yogurt type drink. You can buy the fresh milk in Carrefore in Manavgat. The shop is in the first part of the main street, down right just after the banks and before the school..

The next best milk is PINAR Gercek Yasam, which is a creamy milk, similar to Gold Top. If you want a milk between skimmed and semi-skimmed use DOST Yarim Yagli sut.

Fed up with paying through the nose for your Fruit & Veg? Well, why not go the Wholesale Market in Manavgat. They supply the Restaurants and you can go in and buy anything from less than 1kg to as much as you like. If you gave a large order they will deliver for you too. Directions - Go towards Manavgat, cross the Antalya/Alanya Dual carriageway, turn right on main road into Manavgat, take first turn on right. Market is on left through Security Gate. There are several on site. We use Oz Atesoglu, in the middle of the row of units in front as you drive in. When you leave turn left out of the gate you came in. This will bring you out opposite the main bread shop. Turn left and you go back to the Antalya/Alanya road.
Even cheaper still - the locals Fruit & Veg Market on a Sunday. It is situated directly behind the main market in Manavgat - over the bridge, 200 yards on the right hand side. walk through and it will bring into their market behind. Really, really cheap and quality goods too.
Our Brochure gives an indepth description of our accommodation. We no longer Rent our apartment out however, we have left the brochure in place so that anyone who intends Renters may find it useful.
